we played with the TOUGH SHITS again on wednesday night – it was lots of fun
I love those guys – I don’t think we played that well, but we’ll see – ryan’s buddies video taped it – after the show I tried unsuccessfully to pick up adam and we both crashed onto the street – I can hardly walk now – I definitely fucked something up – my hips are crooked – I’m gonna try to rig up a rope on a pulley and see if I can do a little chiropractic-magic on myself – wish me luck
man oh man – last night was AMAZING – we played with our friends awesome and johnny roger – after our last show (aka the urchin debacle), this was exactly what we needed – we played with and for our friends – it was a good lineup – dan the fan made it out and he TOTALLY loved awesome (good for you guys!)
jim hollywood set everything up for us, totally took care of us at the bar and was, in general, just pleasant to be around – he also seemed to enjoy the event which is great so I hope we can play there again sometime soon – he also dished out some rocky soundtrack action after our set which was really incredible
our actual performance was just a blur for me – I think we played pretty well – we were pretty tight but I kept going for it and didn’t always make it – but everyone seemed to have a good time
and that’s what rock and roll is all about baby!

we played at cobra lounge for the first time last night – great venue – great people – great food – great sound system – the works
here’s the bad news – we played with 2 other bands – the opener, life like fire, was pretty rad – really bluesy, stompy yet driving songs – a trio with lots of slide guitar – real good
at the last minute, we got bumped by the headliner – “the sound of urchins” – they are some kind of hardcore/prog/metal band from the east coast – they are also total fucking douchebags – they bumped us (one of them told ryan “sorry but our fans don’t want to stay out late” – since when are metal fans a bunch of pussies?) then they played for AN HOUR AND A HALF – it was terrible and rude – the guy that booked (anthony from radar eyes) kept apologizing the whole time – I felt bad for him because he felt bad for us
we got up and did our thing for the 4 people that stayed to see us – dan, nick, xi xi and sofie – fuckyeahdude

the dude on the left was cool before the show – we talked for a while – afterwards they wouldn’t even come near us – probably because I kept saying things like “big thanks to the last band for bumping up then playing an hour and a half of shitty prog metal – super cool – dinks – 1234!” before each song
anyway, if you’re playing a show with them – don’t say I didn’t warn you!
